Qwyrk Tales

Welcome to a whole new world…

Well, all right, more like part of an old one. Join the (mis)adventures of Qwyrk, a Shadow tasked with keeping an eye on the comings and goings of everyday people and protecting them from supernatural incursions, quite often with considerable inconvenience and annoyance to herself. Bloody hell.

Tagging along with her in this effort and in solving the magical mysteries at hand is a group of misfits, who are friends, foils, and much more. Together, they must confront the many dangers at the edge of reality in modern northern England, a land of shadows, ancient sorcery, strange creatures, mysterious entities of all kinds, appallingly bad sonnets and songs, tacky nightclub attire, true love, British humor, an abundance of sarcasm, and even elves… though they are a bit silly.

“Charming and funny, the characters are delightful. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.” ~ Peter S. Beagle, author of The Last Unicorn

“Wacky… twisty… the dialogue is a demented fruitcake of British humor, and you won’t be able to stop turning the pages.” ~ Diana Paxson, author of Sword of Avalon

“Fans of Pratchett, Gaiman, Beagle, and de Lint will absolutely feel at home in this story! Such a fun read.” ~ Laura Tempest Zakroff, author of Weave the Liminal

“The action is fun and unpredictable, the characters multifaceted, and the plot evolves some satisfyingly unexpected twists that will keep fans engrossed.” ~ D. Donovan, Midwest Book Review
